Visualisation / Meditation using Colour
Read this through several times or record it onto your computer if you can and then settle down and replay it from memory or by listening to it, relax and heal!!
Settle yourselves now in your chair with your feet firmly on the floor; become aware of the chair beneath your body and your feet on the floor. Let your eyes gently close. Take your attention to your body and adjust any part of it that feels uncomfortable. Concentrate on your feet, I want you to scrunch them up tight, hold that tension, now release. Now pay attention to your legs squeeze the muscles in your legs, hold that tension, now release. Next move up your body to your pelvis and abdomen, hold in your tummy, squeeze your buttocks and if you can also squeeze your pelvic floor muscles, hold the tension, now release. Now pay attention to your chest and shoulders, lift up your shoulders tight to your ears and if you can squeeze in your chest muscles, hold the tension, now release. Lastly scrunch up your face muscles no one is watching, squeeze, hold the tension, now release.
- Now exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound.
- Close your mouth and inhale quietly through your nose to a mental count of four.
- Hold your breath for a count of seven.
- Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound to a count of eight.
- This is one breath. Now inhale again and repeat the cycle three more times for a total of four breaths.
Now return your breathing to a normal rate. Now with your next out breath see green roots coming out of the soles of your feet into the earth through the structure of this building into the earth and into the bedrock beneath the earth. Choose a shade of green that feels right for you maybe emerald green or lime green or a darker sage green. See your roots as channels of this green colour, they extend deep into the earth and bedrock spreading out all around you. They create a firm, secure, safe foundation for you. You begin to feel safe and secure; you are exactly where you are supposed to be.
Now as you breathe in your roots fill up with this green earth energy and you bring it in a channel of green light up to your heart. You breathe in a channel of this green light up through your feet, up your legs, up to your heart. As you breathe out you take this green channel of light back down through your body through your feet and into the earth, deep into the bedrock. As you now breathe this channel of green light in you breathe in the healing power of the earth, its nutrients, its ability to regenerate to easily grow fresh ‘and green roots you breathe out anything that needs to be cleansed any toxins as you breathe out are released into the earth, being released, discharging safely into the earth composting in the earth. Now carry on this process of breathing in the healing power of the earth and breathing out to cleanse into the earth for a few more breaths.
Now as you return to your normal pattern of breathing I want you to put yourself in a beautiful place in nature, perhaps it is somewhere you know or maybe it’s somewhere new. Look around you and find a path stretching out towards the distance. You start to walk along this path as you walk you are feeling relaxed and peaceful. This feeling of being relaxed and peaceful grows with very step you take. You gaze up at the blue sky and feel its warmth on your shoulders. You look all-around you taking in the beauty of nature. A deep feeling of peace and relaxation settles into your body. With each step you take you are feeling increasingly relaxed and peaceful.
Ahead of you on this pathway you come to a clearing and in this clearing there is a really comfortable place to sit or lie down. Imagine this place see it clearly, somewhere you can rest. Feeling wonderfully relaxed now you walk over to this comfortable place and settle down, feeling instantly even more relaxed. As you look around you, you see vibrant colourful flowers. There are pink, orange, red and deep magenta pink flowers blue green and yellow too, all the colours of the rainbow. You can clearly see these colours from where you are resting. You are drawn to look at a particular colour. A colour that your instincts says will nourish you, a colour your body is attracted to. You focus on that colour, you see it clearly, you magnify it, expand it and intensify it.
Now as you breathe in you take this colour into your body maybe as a channel of coloured light. Take it into your body to a place that you know needs healing. Maybe there is just one area it is needed maybe there are several. The coloured light could fill your blood vessels and circulate through your body. Breathe this colour into these places filling the cells in that or those areas. See the colour filling those cells filling them with the healing power of that colour. See that colour neutralising any diseased cells. Carry on focussing that colour to that area filling those cells with more powerful healing colour. Carry on focussing on that colour and that area and those cells. See this healing happen for a little while longer see the colour neutralising, dissolving any disease. Know that this healing will continue whenever you focus on that colour.
OK its time now to start very gently getting up from your resting place. You slowly and peacefully start walking back along your path through this wonderful place in nature. You feel peaceful still and renewed. You notice your feet making contact with the earth again. Now as you walk along the path you are able to release, to drain out of your body anything that needs to be released as a result of your healing. Every step you take releases through your green roots any toxins, waste matter, debris that your body needs to release. It drains into the earth where it is safely composted neutralised by the earth becoming safe and the nurturing for the earth. This process continues with every step you take.
Now you find yourself back where you started your journey. You give thanks to the earth and its wonderful colours for the healing you have received and for being so beautiful and renewing. So now its time to start coming back to the room now. You start becoming aware of your body, your legs and your arms. Maybe moving and stretching as you feel your body. Now slowly begin to open your eyes on the count of 5 1,2,3,4,5. You are back now. And welcome back to you
