Swine Flu Pandemic, Fact or Fiction

It is very difficult to forecast a pandemic and a rash response can be extremely damaging.

To put things into perspective, malaria kills 3,000 people EVERY DAY, and it’s considered “a health problem”… But of course, there are no fancy vaccines for malaria that can rake in billions of dollars in a short amount of time.

By definition, a “pandemic” is an epidemic that is geographically widespread. Fear-mongers are always careful to add the innuendo that millions of people could and probably will die, as in the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918 that killed about 20 million people worldwide. Remember when President Bush said 2 million Americans would die as a result of bird flu.?

Regular swine flu influenza A(H1N1) is a contagious respiratory disease, Symptoms include:

  • Fever of more than 100
  • Coughing
  • Runny nose and/or sore throat
  • Joint aches
  • Severe headache
  • Vomiting and/or diarrhoea
  • Lethargy
  • Lack of appetite

As of May 4, 2009, 20 countries have officially reported 985 cases of swine flu infection and only 26 deaths in the ENTIRE world from this illness. At this time ALL of the deaths are from people born in Mexico.

Why Mexico?  Well overcrowding, poor nutrition and overall poor immunity, all of which are indigenous to Mexico will radically increase your risk of death from almost any infection.


It is important to note that nearly all suspected new cases have been reported as mild.

Swine flue is extremely convenient for governments that would have very soon have to dispose of billions of dollars of Tamiflu stock, which they bought to counter avian flu, or H5N1.  The US government ordered 20 million doses, costing $2 billion, in October, 2005, and around that time the UK government ordered 14.6 million doses.  Tamiflu’s manufacturer, Roche, has confirmed that the shelf life of its anti-viral is three years.

Please realize that Tamiflu is NOT a safe drug.  Serious side effects include convulsions, delirium or delusions, and 14 deaths in children as a result of neuropsychiatric problems and brain infections  Japan actually banned Tamiflu for children in 2007.

Remember, Tamiflu went through some rough times not too long ago, as the dangers of this drug came to light when, in 2007, there have been some 1,800 adverse event reports related to the drug.

Additionally common side effects of Tamiflu include:

  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhoea
  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Fatigue
  • Cough

All in all, the very symptoms you’re trying to avoid.

When Tamiflu is used as directed (twice daily for 5 days) it can only reduce the duration of the flu symptoms by 1 to 11/2 days according to official data.

Why on earth would anyone want to take a drug that has a chance of killing you, was banned in Japan, is loaded with side effects that mimic the flu itself, costs over $100, and AT BEST can only provide 36 hours of SYMPTOM relief.  Just doesn’t make any sense. BUT to keep this in perspective regular flu has been said to have killed 13,000 in the USA since January but there is strong support that these types of figures are grossly exaggerated to boost flu vaccine sales. However, the fact remains that the regular flu at this point in time is FAR more dangerous than the swine flu and were you worried about the regular flu before the media started talking this up?

Just a couple of months ago, scientists concluded that the 1918 flu pandemic that killed between 50-100 million people worldwide in a matter of 18 months — which all these worst case scenarios are built upon — was not due to the flu itself. Instead, they discovered the real culprit was strep infections.

Please remember that, despite the fantastic headlines and projections of MILLIONS of deaths, the H5N1 bird flu virus killed a mere 257 people worldwide since late 2003. As unfortunate as those deaths are, 257 deaths worldwide from any disease, over the course of five years, simply does not constitute an emergency worthy of much attention, let alone fear!

Honestly, your risk of being killed by a lightning strike in the last five years was about 2,300 percent higher than your risk of contracting and dying from the bird flu. In just one year (2004), more than 1,170 people died from lighting strikes, worldwide.7 So please, as the numbers of confirmed swine flu cases are released, keep a level head and don’t let fear run away with your brains.

What can be done to minimise the possibility of catching Swine Flu, or minimise the effects of it if you do have it.

Homoeopathy has a long history in the treatment and prevention of epidemic diseases. However it must be stressed that there is at present only anecdotal and bibliographical evidence that homoeopathic prophylaxis works.

However treating people with homoeopathic remedies based on resonance for epidemic diseases has a 250 year old history and it has been successful over this period and before the days of modern medicine was the most successful way of treating epidemic diseases. Recently in Cuba they treated 5 million people with a single homoeopathic remedy against an endemic disease that came each year and succeeded in stopping it in its tracks. www.lyghtforce.com/King_bio/research.htm is just one place of 1000s to look at the evidence.

Here are some brief results from 1918 Influenza which swept across the world then, from official USA medical reports:

  • The mortality rate of people treated with conventional medicine (of that time, no antibiotics etc, so not like now) was 30 percent, those treated by homeopathic physicians had mortality rate of 1.05 percent
  • In 1500 cases reported at the Homeopathic Medical Society of the District of Columbia there were only fifteen deaths.
  • Recoveries in the National Homeopathic Hospital were 100%
  • Ohio reported that 24,000 cases of flu treated with conventional medicine had a mortality rate of 28.2% while 26,000 cases of flu treated with homeopathy had a mortality rate of 1.05%.
  • The main homeopathic remedy used to successfully treat the Spanish flu in 1918 was Gelsemium.

Optimise your vitamin D levels from sunlight, especially through your eyes.

Avoid sugar and processed foods. Sugar decreases the function of your immune system almost immediately

Get enough rest. Just like it becomes harder for you to get your daily tasks done if you’re tired, if your body is overly fatigued it will be harder for it to fight the flu

Treat your stress. We all face some stress every day, but if stress becomes overwhelming then your body will be less able to fight off the flu and other illness. See EFT tapping protocol below.

Exercise. When you exercise, you increase your circulation and your blood flow throughout your body. The components of your immune system are also better circulated,

Take omega 3 fats.. Increase your intake of healthy and essential fats like the omega-3 found in krill oil, which is crucial for maintaining health. It is also vitally important to avoid damaged omega-6 oils that are trans fats and in processed foods as it will seriously damage your immune response.

Wash your hands.. Washing your hands will decrease your likelihood of spreading a virus to your nose, mouth or other people.

Eat garlic regularly.. Garlic works like a broad-spectrum antibiotic against bacteria, virus, and protozoa in the body.

Avoid Hospitals and Vaccines In this particular case, I’d also recommend you stay away from hospitals unless you’re having an emergency, as hospitals are prime breeding grounds for infections of all kinds, and could be one of the likeliest places you could be exposed to this new bug. Vaccines will not be available for six months at the minimum but when available remember they will be largely untested, may have serious side effects and will interfere with your immune system.

EFT and Ho’opnopono for Health and Happiness

In essence what blocks our health and happiness is our thoughts and then our thinking.  It is our thoughts and thinking that can lead to difficult emotions and unhappiness with what is in our life and then even to physical disease.  EFT can be a valuable tool to help us become Present to be our ‘True Selves’ where it is possible to attract everything we want into our lives.  Getting out of our thinking minds where we are not our True Self but identified with our Ego or False Self is the key.

Much of our thought and thinking can come from our past traumas and woundings or those of our ancestors or past lives. Using EFT we can choose to remember our True Self is not in our thoughts, thinking and memories and to choose peace, stillness and presence instead.  EFT can effectively clear the disruptions or blocks in our energy system caused by those traumas that cause the difficult thoughts and memories.

A simple way to use EFT daily to clear past traumas is to combine it with the ancient Hawaiian cleansing phrases of ‘Ho’oponopono’.  The phrases are I’m sorry, please forgive me, I thank you and I love you. Using the EFT tapping points while  reciting these phrases gradually clears our energy system from the disruptions that create the negative thinking. Another way is to use this meditaion below that combines EFT and Ho’oponopono.

Having the Life You Want and Contemporary Spirituality

Spirituality differs to religion because it believes that there is only one ‘God’ and that we are part of God. This God being can be called all sorts of names….The Universe, Spirit, Love, Om, Christ etc there are many more.  Practicing this spirituality means that life is about living as fully and happily as we can in the here and now as God in a human body until we die and return back to being wholly God.  Any unhappiness we feel is when we identify with the human part of us that is seperate from God.

So  being happy in this life is assured when we connect with God through a modern day practice of being spiritual. So in essence how do we benefit when we  practice spirituality.  Here are some ideas.

Contemporary spirituality is good and useful because

GLOBAL CONSCIOUSNESS, NATURE AND EARTH
It recognises the connections between all life and the need to care for nature, earth, ourselves and each other.

It encourages the exploration of many paths so that everyone without exception can deepen their connection with the wonder and energy of life.

It delivers practical strategies which are crucial elements for health, happiness and fulfiling our potential.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
It provides a fuller context so that people can better understand and explore the true nature of their journey through life.

COMPASSION AND INSPIRING VALUES
It unites the core values of the world’s great philosophical, religious, ecological and psychological traditions to create universal and inspiring values that promote justice, peace and sustainability.

PERFECT TIMING
It gives hope and guidance to solve our global challenges, prioritising spiritual values and service over a purely materialist worldview.

UNDERSTANDABLE, PRACTICAL AND HOLISTIC
It provides a simple and clear definition of spirituality that people can adapt and rewrite in any way that is authentic for them:

So the purpose of these thoughts is to stimulate you to consider exploring your own spirituality as your route towards living the life you want to have. Our own happiness is always and forever within us all.

Become Aware of Your Thoughts and Create Peace and Happiness.

We have over 100,000 thoughts a day and these can determine how we feel when we identify with them.

If we can create a shift from associating with this constant thinking to becoming aware of what is in the background we can achieve more peace and from there happiness.

Thinking without awareness is the main dilemma of human existence; it is what makes us unhappy, believing our thoughts. For example we can get stuck thinking about the future projecting thoughts onto what is happening now. Remembering that thinking negatively about the future is what creates dissatisfaction or anxiety and the future is not real only NOW is. With awareness of those thought we can choose peace for NOW.

Our negative thoughts come from the ego false self part of us, from our woundings and the beliefs that arise from them. Choosing to become aware of the space between our thoughts allows the space to expand and peace and then joy become our experience.

Try to become more aware of your thinking.  Close your eyes for a minute or two and count the number of thoughts you have whatever they are.  Maybe they are about a person, something you need to do, or something that has happened. Realise that they are just thoughts and they come and go YOU are not your thoughts YOU are the ever present space between them.  Accept them as just thoughts and let them go as if they are a cloud passing through the sky which is YOU.

As you become more aware of your thoughts and know that they are thoughts not YOU it becomes possible to not identify with or pay attention to the ones that cause stress. Instead when you think a negative thought, say to yourself ‘I choose peace’ or ‘All is well’.

This is a route to mastering the effects of thoughts in the mind, and thus a route to more peace, contentment and then joy. A very effective path to becoming aware of thought and choosing peace in every moment is through Ascension Meditation.  Check out www.thebrightpath.com
